Separating 'emotion' from 'the science': Exploring the perceived value of information for parents and families of children with autistic spectrum disorder.
A recent study published in the Clinical Child Psychology and Psychiatry Journal explored how best to communicate information about ASD to parents of children with ASD. Qualitative interviews revealed three main themes: vulnerability of families, value of information sources and need for validated experience.
